I just hit another big haul of free blanks!

I was off work today and drove to a sawmill I know of about an hour's drive away. I looked in their scrap pile and picked up a couple of boxes of pecan scraps.

I got to talking to the owner, real nice guy, and let him pick out a pen from my display and he was thrilled. He told me to come get scraps anytime I wanted, plus, he and his wife have a rustic furniture (high dollar!) and gift shop on a main highway and he wants to sell my pens in his store.

I took the scraps home and started cutting them into pen blanks. I ended up with 80 that are "private stash" and have some of the most unbelievable spalting, coloration, and figure you can imagine.

Plus, when the sawdust cleared, I also have another 217 blanks for Freedom Pens. Most are unremarkable, however, some have color, figure, and spalting.
