Well the kids said something back in June about getting a pepper mill to match there set of salad bowls I turned out of mahogany. So dad got his act together to turn his first salt plus the pepper mill out of Mahogany. The pepper mill is 9" tall and the salt mill is 8 1/2" tall. Seal-A-Cell and Arm-R-Seal. Even bought them a bag of sea salt for their mill.

Very nice Bernie! Nice matching set with just enough height difference to tell which is which! Will make for a wonderful gift that I am sure they will treasure!

Great looking pieces. I remember my first and last pepper mill. it did not come all that good. Now that I have a VS lathe I should try again sisnce I have 5 more hardware mills to turn.
I burned the forstner bit really bad. The lathe did not go slower than I'd say 700 or 800 RPM and dry hard maple was provably to hard.
Thanks for sharing

Thanks again. Robert I like the General Finishes. It is pretty much self leveling and buffs well after a week of cure.
