Does any one know where a cheap, under $100, stroboscope can be purchased? I have some variable speed tools and some electric motors whose rpms I would like to determine. I would prefer to use a stroboscope but haven't found a cheap one. The cheapest alternative I have found is a Harbor Freight tachometer for $57 that uses a special reflective tape that you stick to the rotating part.

They sell a small one that got great reviews on a metal working site I belong to. Guy's were getting them for their lathes after they installed VFD's.
