One of my former helpers is working in an old barn on his uncle's property and found some very old Mahogany. Under the 3/4" of dust lay 8x8x10's!!! He said there's a ton more and there's a chance he is going to get it. What a find...sure wish it was me that found it. No telling what that wood is going to be worth....any ballpark guesses?

He did say he might sell some of it or maybe even all of it, if so I will be the first to get a shot at it. :D

A whole lot of mahogany 8X8s in a barn sounds odd to me. Not saying it couldn't happen, but wondering if it's really some native species like walnut cut into barn timbers.

A few years ago I saw a big stick of genuine Cuban mahogany auctioned out of the barn/workshop that had belonged to furniture restorer Paul Koda. I don't remember the price exactly but it was probably about a 6"x12"X12+' and it went in the thousands.

It will be interesting to see what you get!
