As mentioned in my previous hollow form post (Hollow Form #6, and, yeah I know this is out of sequence!) – yet another of the various shapes that I had roughed out and waiting to be finished. This is also out of spalted birch and is 8” x 4 3/8”. Sanded to 400 grit, finish is Watco ‘Natural’, buffed.

Really Nice Steve- that looks great! I haven't done any HF yet, kind of worried about that- I need to do some research and would like to give it a shot some day, very nice work and I like the look of that wood- great job! you are truly a turning artist! :)

Steve,

I really like the form on this piece. Though I liked the last one too, this one sits a little better and I like the fact that the widest point is higher in the form. It's a classic. Good job.

If I had not known, it would just as well looked like #50 to me. It has such beauty with well proportion lines. I do not see a flat spot on these lines which seem to flow. I guess you can tell I really like it.
