Burned with propane torch and scrubbed with wire brush.

Danish oil and center buffed.

That looks great!

Somehow the idea of taking a torch to something I've worked hard on is a bit scary. How hard is it to get the hang of torching stuff?

Wood has to be dry to torch, or it will cause checking. You can use green wood, but you have to be careful and go slow. The heat causes it to dry out and ck. I like the bowl.
