The last two pieces that I worked with inclusions exploded and hit me in the chest. This one stayed together which made me most happy! No cussin!

Very nice Pete !! I wouldn't have had any luck with that at all ... I think I'll practise a lot longer before I try anything like that.

Great, get back on the horse. Remember if it looks like it will fly apart, it most likely will.

Great looking bowl Pete!
If I might make a suggestion... If you had made a tenon as a place to clamp, you would be clamping the bark inclusion together instead of stressing it apart (just a thought).

Very nice Pete! The inclusion makes a beautiful accent and that's what I like to capture in my turnings. Question. Did you use CA or anything in it as you went along? You'll be suprised how strong it makes weak areas in wood. Just a thought. Also have used lots of packing tape (the kind that has nylon string in it) on pieces that I thought might come apart.

Pete that is a great looking piece. I'll bet of the ones that hit you in the chest you said, Darn, shoot and son-of-a-gun. Huh????

Looks like a relative to that other pretty one with the foot. Personally, I'd be nervous as a blind pig in a tree turning that one, particularly in light of the the other two explosions. Glad it worked out.
