The image below is four copies of a gradient box that were processed consecutively. As you can see everything was fine until for some reason, the machine started blasting 100% with the boundaries of the graphic. If it happened at the same place each time it wouldn't be so confusing. When in error the laser fire light stays solid.

Material was 1/32" Birch 500 dpi, 50pwr 50spd

Any ideas why this is happening or have you seen something like this before?

First, re-boot the computer and the laser and try again. Else, post the file.

I am having a problem a little different because it only occurs at 1000 dpi and then it engraves the entire plate (table) at the settings I have established. The image is lost.

Trotec is looking into it now, assuming it is a driver issue or a bug.

Otherwise the machine is ok.

Thanks Mitchell for the reply. The computer and machine have been rebooted several times. The file I used for the test pictured was created with Laser Master. I normally use Corel 13 and see this type of errors with both programs for about the last week now. No changes on the computer lately, anti-virus updated and in effect.

All system tests come out o.k. for the laser.
