I posted pictures of this Texas mesquite natural edge burl bowl earlier. The pictures helped me get into 2 large shows. One of my dealers wanted to show it to a special customer which was a country and western star. She asked me if I had ever heard of him and I said I had not known of one since Ernest Tubb. The guy was appearing in her hometown in Georgia, the singer was from Texas, and had a big home in the Colorado mountains. I let her have it on consignment. She sold it for $2000. I guess you would call this a gloat.

Well, Glenn, that certainly DOES qualify as a gloat! Beaufiful NE and I'm happy that you got what it was worth.

That is great. Congrats. In my book this qualify as a big gloat. In other forums they would say you suck... AKA gloat, but I don't know if you would take it the wrong way so nice gloat.

Congrats Glenn.

That ought to be enough to get a nice chunk of burl or two. Then you can turn it, sand it, finish it, buff it, sell it, buy more wood, turn it, sand it.....hmmm there seems to be a strong circular pattern here.;)

Congrats Glen! Even if you only get 50% from the commission that's a nice return!
