View Full Version : looking for instructions on mock inside out ornament

I call it a "mock" inside out ornament for lack of a better term. At some point I looked online at some instructions where the guy used a forsner bit to hollow out the inside of the ornament. Then simply turned the outside. It ended up like the ones you see with a christmas tree inside.

just trying to save some time before christmas. I have turned a couple of true inside out ornaments but it takes a while at my experiance level and I have the cheap introduction table sawswith a homade disc sander on the lathe. which means, the peices don't end up perfectly sqaure and I have to fight the project through every step.

Thought some one would know as I can't find it now

Check out www.marleyturned.com (http://www.marleyturned.com). This is a really neat way to do an ornament and you can get other shapes besides a round hole. I think you'll like this method too. He's also a member here as well.
