Tuesday , Bill Ward, Don Peterson, Roger Nixon and I had lunch at Jack Stacks BBQ place. On friday afternoon after Thanksgiving Dinner I braved Black Friday traffic and finally found Don Petersons house and showed up with some saw sharpening goodies, which I left with him to play with till my December monthly visit to KC.

Thanks a bunch for the help. I finished sharpening and setting that D-8 and polished it up, boy does it cut nicely! Jr. was very helpful in explaining how to maintain the joint of the saw during sharpening and that's what I was having problems with.

The saw filing guide was helpful in learning, but toward the end I found it was much faster to file free-hand. I think I did a pretty good job of keeping the angle consistent for the back third of the saw (filed free-hand), now that I know what to look and feel for.

I'm very pleased with the results. The saw cuts fast and straight. I'll post pics later tonight...

Now, I think I have the confidence to clean up the D-12 and D-15.
