Here are a couple of bowls that I finished turning last week. The first is a mulberry bowl which is 7" across and 4" high. The other is a walnut bowl from the last of the wood from John Hart which I finally got around to. It is 7 1/2" across and 3" high. Sanded to 600 grit. Both are finished with General Finishes Seal-A-Cell and Arm-R-Seal. I buffed with carnuba wax.

Nice looking bowls Bernie. I like the color of the Mulberry. Never had a piece really large enough to turn so what's it like. Odor, texture, etc.
Thanks, Brian

Yup....They look great Bern. You picked up some nice figure in that mulberry....looks really nice. I have some..but I've been avoiding it cuz I heard it was hard as a rock and I might hurt myself.:)

Thanks for the comments. John it is pretty hard but turns pretty good.
Brian it has a pretty good smell and is a hard, dense wood. Had to sharpen my gouges about 3 times during the finish turning.

Bernie, these are wonderful. I can't say which I like the most as they both have their unique qualities. I'd say great job!:)

Thanks again for the comments. The walnut really turned out nice. I don't think the LOML is going to let go of it.
