Hello Creekers and Happy Thanksgiving to all. Can carbon fiber material be cut on the laser safely? I have an aircraft console panel job that may
come my way. My concern would be similar to PVC? Anyone have experience with this. Thanks in advance

Pinnacle 30watt, Corel X3, Photograv:rolleyes:

I've engraved and attempted to cut it.
I never managed to cut through it but I only have
25 watts.
It engraved and color filled quite nice.

Tap plastics has a fake carbon fiber acrylic that cuts fine, if that would work for your application.

How thick of a CF piece were you attempting to cut?

My question was more or less directed at Brian who said he attempted to cut CF but had no luck.

Edit: Check out this link: http://www.sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?t=19014 Other members have had little luck attempting to cut through CF as well.
