Was applying finish to the top most part of the icicle. Little to much pressure did me in.:o:eek:

Andy, this is a shame but I'm sure you can fix that. Next time apply the finish as you complete each area of the finial. That way you have more support from the section closer to the headstock.

A little sanding on the end and it'll still work :)

Yep, you can clean that baby up and the only one that will know is you. I like it so if you are tossing it out toss it my way:D

I guess I should have been clearer about where I was applying the finish. It was on the segment next to the head stock.

I know that I could fix it but I would know it's fixed and that would bug me to no end. I'll keep it in my box of other mishaps. I like the shape so can always pull it out as an example.:D

Instead of trying to glue it up, use some screw eyes to hang it. A fix without "fixing it".
