Greetings.

Long story, short. I was asked to make two side tables with the shape of the leg of my entrance bench as the major design element.

Some of the nicest curly cherry I've used :)

Attached is pictures of my entrance bench, the raw board, one side table and then the pair.

Fairly straight forward construction, mortice and tenon, legs jig cut on the shaper, oil and lacquer finish.....

Really need to get some lights to photograph wood this figured, sigh...

Cheers, Don.

Thanks Thom,

I should also include this picture of the dry fit without the top, gives a little better perspective....

Cheers, Don.

Hi Don,

I think that you just need a couple of silver or white photographic reflectors to bring out the detail in your wood. (set them up so they make a kind of tent shape over your subject).
They are a fraction of the price of photographic lighting.

Nice job though....Regards...Graham...

Don,
Way to go! nice job and I love the job you did on the design- planing it out on a draft print - and the style- very nice. that's the only way I like to work- with some plans - helps with the layout and construction. Very nice looking Cherry - nice job Don!:)

Very nice Don! I really like the design.

How does the top attach? Figure 8's or z-clips?

Matt, the top attaches with screws through the inside rails.
