Finally finshed the coffee table to go with the two end tables.

QSWO with hand cut dovetails. The drawers took more time than I would admit but the finished product I am happy with.

My wife is happy so it may be time to do a little tool shopping...

Great work Gary,

Just perfect for my taste. Sharp drawer work.
I would have been tempted to build a lower shelf, but I think it is
good that you resisted. (discretion the better part of valour?)

Thanks for giving us a look!
be well,
Walt

Very nicely done. I am especially jealsous of the dovetails. I keep promising myself I am going to make hand cut dovetails, someday.

Nice one Garry.

I realy like the mission style stuff, and you have done a great job on this one :).
I can see a "mission end table" in the photo as well, did you make that as well? (would like to see a close up of it as well if possible).
Also like to know where you get your hardware from.

Anyway thanks for showing us your work....regards....Graham....

Walt,

Was thinking of a shelf also but it would of only been 6" from the drawer rail. even if it had enough clearance the boss (who does the dusting) didn't want one.

Graham,

The hardware came from Lee Valley, also here is your pic of the end table.

thanks for all your comments....

I agree with the time for tool shopping!!

That's an excellent table. You surely have a great example of good craftsmanship and definately have a right to be happy. The dovetails look great! Congratulations on a job well done.

Wow..that is a job well done. Can I ask your finish schedule? I love Arts & Crafts furniture. 80% of the wood I have bought in the past has been QSWO. I love working with that stuff. Great work...now it's time to go toy (I mean tool) shopping. http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_1_75.gif

BEE..U..TEE..FUL!!!

Wonderfull craftsmanship.
I hope your wife doesn't think you did such a good job that you don't need more tools.
Then again you could say it's for saving time.
Thanks for posting the pictures.

I really like this style of table! Well done!

But for me, and this is not a knock, I'd prefer something down low like maybe a shelf. It just looks naked to me.

Gary K.

The finishing schedule was simple. Wipe on stain and a bunch of coats of wipe on poly.
