Anybody out there ever see/use one of the mortise & tenon jigs sold by Trend-USA? Looks interesting. Don't think it's as fancy as the Leigh, but just a "couple" bucks less. Here's the link to it: http://www.trend-usa.com/mtjig.html

John,
I make my own jigs as I need them that are similar. I use MDF or Baltic birch and a clamp or two and a template guide on the router. It works great and costs zero! Works for "loose" tenon joints as well...where you just make tenon stock and rout mortices into both pieces.

There is a guy over on Woodnet who ordered one maybe 2 weeks ago. I for one, am anxiously awaiting a review!

John - I saw one demo'ed at the recent Houston WW Show. Jig did a good job and seemed sturdy enough. I was obviously far less capable than the Leigh, but for the money seemed a good buy if you are do'in a ton of MT work.

Still, I think I would save up for the Leigh...
