Depending on what type you want, there's a guy on E-bay called Briartoys1 that sells whiteside bits at a deep discount. He doesn't have a large selection, but he has most of the common bits. I've bought from him and received good service.

Unlike Dennis, I had a bad experince with Briartoys1 on EBay. This could, of course, be an isolated instance.

However, I had a great experience with Ballew Saw. I called them with a question on a bit and not only did they answer the question but then sold it to me for less than the price listed in their catalog. Also, they don't charge shipping for orders over $75 IIRC. I've bought both Whiteside and Freud bits from them at various times.

I also have used ballew saw to order whiteside bits. They were the cheapest place I could find and very helpful. The bits came in very quickly with no problems.

I did some checking and http://www.routerbits.com/ seems to have the best prices on whiteside bits , you do have to pay a small shipping charge though.
The last time I had to order bits I needed them in a hurry and even with shipping fedx 2 day they still came out cheeper than most places online.
Much cheeper than the Woodcraft store in my town , by almost 30%.

Figured I'd go ahead and order a few bits, but the code is no longer valid. As always, I guess I'm a day late and/or a dollar short.

I haven't bought from BriarToys1 in about 2 years, but I had an excellent experience with them. The discounts were large, and the bits were brand new perfect. Shipping was quick. You can't beat Whiteside at a discount. The discounts were deep enough that I bought a whole slew of them, in some of the most popular styles. I keep them for special projects, and actually use a 45 piece set of 1/4" shank tungsten carbide tips, that were made in Taiwan, and selling on eBay for only $45. They work great. Hey I know that their are different grades of carbide, and having a 1/4 shank is not the way to go to reduce vibration, but it is great to know that you have sitting in a wooden box, with clear plastic opening doors, a selection of bits, that covers almost all of your possible configurations, and 5 different sizes of each style. That way you know you have all the right profiles, while you are building your Whiteside, or Freud collection.

I noticed that Sears 15 piece set, made in Taiwan were going for $80, so I grabbed the 45 piece set on eBay, figuring I was going direct. :D

I have not dealt with BriarToys recently though so I provide this link hesitantly since someone else posted that they had problems with them http://www.marketworks.com/storefrontprofiles/deluxeSFshop.aspx?sid=1&sfid=41717&c=562205 I got that link by going to BriarToys.com, then clicked on the bottom of the left navigation bar with Whiteside Bits on it.
I looked in eBay recently to look them up, whereas some PM'd me about whiteside bits, asking me about recommendations. I couldn't remember the name off of the top of my head, but recoginzed it in this thread.
As far as I am concerned, Briartoys did great. I bought them under the protection of ebay feedback though. Dare I say highly recommended?

I set that coupon code up over a year ago and it expired. Didn't realize and just reinstated the code so it should work. Sorry for the trouble.

Brian is the best and he has so much more than just Whiteside bits!!!

To date I have ordered two sets of Two Cherries chisels (bevel and mortise) and a set of Norton Waterstones from him as well as 8 Whiteside bits. He will also get my Byrd order on of these days when I win the lottery.

He is awesome to deal with. You know when a dealer is driving down the road and takes your call, and pulls over just to help you out and write down your needs - that he is DEDICATED to helping his customers. He rocks!

I'm going to need an Incra router bit set fairly soon. I looked through the Holbren site, and the prices are good. But where does the 10% code go? I see a place for customer comments, but not for a discount code. Thanks! Jim.
