A&C-Style Valance Design Questions

LOML gave me the go-ahead to build a pair of curtain valances. I'm leaning towards A&C/Prairie/Green & Greene influences.

I like Frank Lloyd Wright's use of negative space and Greene &Greene's square holes & cloud lifts.

No joinery or stain - the project will be various thicknesses of MDF, biscuits, nailer and paint to match some trim.

All opinions, thoughts, sources are welcome.

A couple thoughts:

Maybe a nice flowing arc along the bottom front.

What about a four square design in the center, perhaps even a bit of mica glued on from behind? Might look nice when the light shines in.
