Rockler Sure-Foot Conversion Pads & HF Pipe Clamps

Has anyone used Rocker's Sure-Foot Conversion Pads (http://www.rockler.com/product.cfm?Offerings_ID=10669) on Harbor Freight 3/4" Pipe Clamps (http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=46828)? The pads appear to be made to fit Ponys, and I'm not sure if there's enough difference to create fit problems.

I haven't used those, but I would think with a little bit of 1/2" mdf and a little time, you could make a whole bunch of something just like that to fit on your clamps. I've thought about doing it before, but always seem to be busy building things.
