We are looking at getting a Pinnacle M-30 Laser Engraver. But one of our first jobs will be Laser Engraving on Glass / Crystal Awards. Does anyone have experience engraving glass awards with a 30 watt laser. Is it powerful enough? I read somewhere that one of the biggest mistakes new laser engraving businesses make is buying an underpowered laser. Unfortunately this Laser is all we can afford at this point, so I need to know if will handle the glass ok.

Thanks for your input,
Ricky

I have a 30watt LaserPro Explorer. It has plenty of power to etch glass. I haven't come across a job yet that I can't do with my laser. Sometimes, I wish for more power just so I could run the job a little faster or cut something a little thicker, but that's very rare and not worth the extra $$ to upgrade at the moment.

I have a 10W laser and have no problems whatsoever engraving on glass.
