I've seen a lot of great little bird house ornaments on the creek, but where do you get those little birds from? Been looking everywhere.

Thanks

Nathan I get mine at Michaels. They have a good selection at least at the store we have that I go to. I think Hobby Lobby has them to but not sure as we don't have one close.

I get all mine from Hobby Lobby. Not the ones in the flower area they are too big, I get the ones in the craft area. They are in little bags with 4 or 5 in a bag.

Nathan - first ones I got were from Michaels and you get 3 per bag at a cost of around $2.50. While on a trip I stopped in at Hobby Lobby and bought all they had - 5 birds per bag for $1.50 a bag! Course they only had 8 bags and probably thought I was nuts but a deal is a deal!

Ditto Michael's. Craft Supplies USA also has "small" and "large" miniature birds. They recommend small for ornaments up to 3" length; large for larger ornaments. Page 99 of their paper catalog (2007/08) also has kit descriptions which might enlighten the scale of things. No affiliation, etc.

I've bought some from Michael's (most consistent), Hobby Lobby (I liked M's better), and Walmart (I can never find them over there anymore, but such is life in a borg store).

I've often thought of turning my own tho.... A little offcenter turning and a bit of pocket knife work should do it. Of course then you'd have to paint 'em, and that might take longer than anything else.
