Hope someone here can point me in the right direction. I'm building a student's desk and hutch to match the maple armoire in the images below. It's part of a discontinued collection from Ethan Allen. I'm looking for a supplier(s) for that style of surface mounted hinge and turned maple knob. The hinge is 2" and the knob is about 1 3/4" in diameter.

Any ideas where I could find such a thing?

Thanks!

George,

Try this link......I've bought hardware from them. http://www.hardwaresource.com/ContentPage.asp?ContentID=36

If that site doesn't have them, do a search on "Hardware" above in this forum and you'll find links to many more sites.

That hinge is your average run of the mill cheapo non-mortise hinge. The Borg would have it. You local woodworking store should have it. All the Chinese importers would have it.

As for the knob, if you haven't tried the EA parts department (even though it is disco'd), I would try a local turner (perhaps through a local turning club), or the woodturner's forum here.

I have bought a few items from this website. I spent hours looking oever their choices of knobs and pulls and tons of other things they have to offer. If anything, you can look to see what works best for you, with what they show on their website. Good Luck!

I have purchased turned knobs from Lee Valley on several occasions, with great results. Also their hinge collection is quite good, I would check them out.
