My Saw sharpening guy died, where to buy blades

I have had my 10" blades sharpened by an old guy near me for about 20 years, unfortunatly he died recently and no one is taking his place.
I havent had to buy blades in so long I dont know where to get a good deal anymore, Where do you guys buy your blades?

I live in a very small town in northern California so I will have to order some because the one and only hardware store in my area sells only cheapo VA blades at a way too high price.
I'm looking for an online source with some decent deals.

Aaron, try Scott Whiting (a member here) who owns Scott's Sharpening Service in Glendale, AZ. We were in his shop a few weeks ago, and he has everything you can imagine for sharpening all sorts of blades, and he also makes blades for millwork (moulder-cutters). He is the only AZ distributor for Everlast blades, which are great blades, by the way. Amazon is constantly running some kind of deal on blades. Lowes stocks the Delta 35-7657, 40 tooth general purpose blade for $39.99. It is by far the best blade for the bucks, unless you get a "killer deal". Freud blades tend to be the same price no matter where, except when Amazon does their thing.

Hi Aaron, have you tried looking for an online industrial supplier?

I'm in Canada and normally purchase Dimar blades, through their local reps. I've found that the industrial suppliers have a great selection of blades at reasonable prices.

I have been very happy using Bay Area Carbide, 1843 East St., Concord, Ca 94520 Tele 925- 687-0689 Doug McAdoo is very easy to work with. He handles FS Tool, Tenryu, Onsrud, Whiteside, Freeborn, etc. Will sharpen anything including Bi-Matel & Carbon Bandsaw Blades. They also stock Tersa knives in many sizes. Call Doug he can help you.

That blade is supposed to be the former Dewalt 7657 which was well regarded.

The Delta blade that came on my saw was a pos.

I use a Forrest blade and send it to them for sharpening.
