Bandsaw motor change??

Is it OK to change out a 3/4 HP motor running at @1740 to a 1 1/2 HP running @ 3450? Maximum current rpm using optimum pullies is 2270. BS is a Jet JBS 14 MW....Thanks.

Gotta remember to keep the speed controlled wih appropriate pulley selection.
