Hey guys I was just in the right place at the right time and I have got my hands on a couple of nice straight pieces of Oak about 5-6ft long and 12inches in diameter. I was thinking about having them milled into some 8/4 but I cant seem to find anyone in southern ME. Any Maine creekers with connections out there? I have checked the yellow pages and did not have much luck at the Woodmizer web site. What should expect to pay for a service like that?
Thanks, Mike

Try this site. If you don't have any luck, I've got a few more sites to check. Use "edit"--->"find" and use "Maine" as the search word at the link below:

Good luck,

You might call LaValley Lumber in Sanford. They have an on site sawmill and may do this for a fee. As far as I know they are the last working mill in York County.

You might check the listings on WoodWeb (http://www.woodweb.com/Resources/RSSDGsawyers.html).
