Jet Mini Bed Extension

? What is the over all Length of the mini lathe with the bed extension on ? My top is only 47in. Haven't purchase the extension yet.Thanks Lynn

Some part of what you wrote isn't correct. The Jet mini stock length is only 20" from headstock to end of bed. Once you put the tailstock on it you only get a little over 12" between centers. The bed extension is another 26" inches. It sounds like you already have an extension on it. Does your lathe have two sets of legs or three?

Brett,I'm looking for over all Length of the lathe with extension not the bed length.My worksurface is 47in long.So if the extension is 26in long and the lathe is 24 1/2 in at the base that 50 1/2in so I will need to put a different top on.Thanks,Brett you have answer my ? Lynn

Hi Lynn,

I measured mine for you. It is 51" from end to end. Good luck with your new top!

It won't fit, you will need a different top or you could just mount a 2x12 on top of what you have and mount the lathe to it.

Thanks folks for the help,I have a 72in top so when the extension comes in it will be time to replace top.
