Takes a while to load, but WOW. This guy is hand engraving a gold flute cylinder. Simply amazing.

I always thought a webcam on the laser would be fun, but this cam view is coming off the guy's microscope as he engraves. Pretty neat... not a laser, but shows us where we came from. :eek:

I could not take my eyes of what he was doing...a pure orchestration with the music....bravo!

Pretty cool huh? I wish I had such a talent. Check out his web page if you get a chance. His photo engravings rival anything a laser could do.

http://www.catoglass.com/ Wayland Cato is a glass artist. I know him personally and he does beautiful work..all by hand..much of it from photographs that he makes all over the world.

I see Mr Cato has a 'instructional video' but I doubt if anyone is going to learn to do stuff like 'that' "in just hours"

Actually he has a pretty simple method he teaches. I tried it a few years ago and I could actually turn out pretty good looking stuff. My problem is that I am short on patience. I would much rather let a machine do the work after I have done the computer work.
