Well,
I finally borrowed a digicam to take some pictures of a few pieces.

It is a maple HF about 9" in diameter and 6" high. It has little bit of everything (some spalting, curl, bark inclusion, etc). It was sanded to 400 grit and wiped with a secret thinned epoxy recipe developed by a friend. It has not been buffed but I may decide to do it later. The fourth pic looks too pink but I'm too tired to fix it.

FYI-I plan to add a lid w/finial once the right piece of wood comes along...

Nicely done Dick, when I saw the pink one I though " wow where'd he get the pink maple" ah then I read the text  . The multi character'd wood is great to work with and has soooo much goin for it. The epoxy looks great on it.

That's beauty Dick. No pressure, but the lid and finial have a lot to live up to!

Dick
I don't know if a lid would add anything. That's a beautiful piece as is.
