Corel Draw Question

Trying to figure out a simple way of engraving large images onto smaller
8" x 8" material. I have 6' x 6' area wanting to cover with 8" square tile with
parts of the image engraved onto each piece. How do you go about putting
small cutouts of the large image onto each section of tile.

Here you go. Just ungroup first (Corel X3)

Try going to Corel help and type in tiling. That will give you instructions that I can't do here.

But to just have a look go to print, there you'll see a box to check named tiling; from that you can set optionsand check print preview.

How did you go about putting the bitmap into each 8" grid, or is it
to lengthy to explain here.

I THINK I figured it out Ron. Powerclip function seems to do the trick.

What we do with the GCC Lasers is:

In your software keep your paper size the size of your laser table.
Import your image in, it doesn't matter if it sticks off the side or not.
When you go to File/Print, click properties and go into the driver.
On the paper/page tab, where it says the paper size change it to match the size of the material you are engraving on (6x6 or 8x8 or #x#).
When you send it to the laser the GCC machines will send multiple files. They will all be the #x# size.
You just put the tile in the machine in the upper left hand corner and run the job, then you take that one out, put another one in and go to job #2. It is kind of a tedious process but it works.
