Any trick to doing this without spending $70 for a puller ?
Also I got both replacement bearings from bosch for the 1617EVS, any trick to getting to the top small bearing? I can see the big bearing ring at the base of the spindle.
Thanks....Any words of wisdom are welcome here

This might work. Not sure if it's too big. Any repair shop would also have access to pull the bearing and press the new one as well

There is also a link to a larger one at the bottom of the page

Also make sure when reinstalling the bearings not to pound or put excessive pressure on the outer race of the bearing, (this will cause microscopic damage to the bearing and lead to premature failure) Use a pipe or sheathe approx the same diameter of the armature shaft and gently tap the inner race.
