Well..I finally got done with with one chest of drawers, one to go!! I am very pleased how the finish came out. QTR sawn white oak, dark walnut danish oil, and several coats of wipe on poly, then wax. Like I said, I have another chest of drawers to build, and the bedroom set will be compete. A kingsize headboard, and two night stands to match. The headboard and night stands are on other threads that I posted. Thanks for looking and happy cutting!!

Fantastic job. That'll be a piece to be handed down through generations. Sign it and date it because it'll be around longer than any of us. Again, great work.:)

GREAT JOB MICHAEL!!!. That is a fun one to build. I built the same one for my son. I agree with Bill to sign the piece. It would be great that your great grandchildren can look at the piece and know who made it and when. It will make it a true family treasure.

Great job on the chest.. Its the last piece I have to build to complete our bedrrom suite.
One question , did you stain the inside of the carcass ? and was it oak ply or something else.
Thanks

Great looking piece again..

I feel like I am just piling on, but that is a great looking chest!

I would like to see some real photo's of your shop. Not your garage with a couple of machines rolled in to make us think its your shop. :)

To answer your questions on my shop!! Its a 2 car garage, everything has wheels and 2 cars go inside, tight fit, but it works!! Also I have to keep it clean, its my nature!! Last summer, I put down the rustoleum floor coating, and love it. I have a problem that all woodworkers dream of, and thats too many tools for the space!! Everything has a home, and must be organized, or you get a mess going on!! Thanks for the comments on the chest!!
