View Full Version : First Dovetails and Crosscut Sled

I spent all day Sunday making a new jig for dovetails on the table saw. It fits in a small crosscut sled I built. They still require a bit of trimming, as I don't have a blade ground to an angle, but it's a lot easier than using a router (in my opinion), and is more flexible. I'll post a picture of the jig when I get it looking a little cleaner.

Looks very nice. Alex, it's OK, it's just the vortex pulling you deeper and deeper disguised as a forum. Nice job on the DT.

i just noticed that the crosscut sled you designed incorporates two excellent safety features: the lexan blade guard and the handle positioned on TOP of the blade block so that even if you were to push through you'd still have all five fingers!
