I have been out of woodworking for a long time but I am starting to get back into it and I am building a router table first. I want to know if there are any standard layout dimensions for the router lift and the miter track c from the front of the table and between the track and rout lift. Any information would be appreciated.

I spaced mine so it was the same distance as from my t-slot to my table saw blade, so I can use any sleds or miter accessories on either tool.

Just make sure not to get the slot too close to the insert, or the web of wood between the slot and the insert can break out easily.

I am not sure there is a standard but here is what my Jessem table is.

The table is 24x32
Miter track is 5 1/2 from the front.
Router lift is a Jessem and is 11 3/4 wide x 9 1/2
That leaves the miter slot 1 3/4 inch from the router plate.
The router is centered in the table.

I did as Josiah mentions; center of my TS blade to left miter slot = center of my bit to miter slot on the RT. That way all jigs are transferable and standard feather boards reach on both.

Thanks for the information, my top will be 28" wide by 64" long so I am mounting it in one end. I have an old stereo cabinet that I am using for the base cabinet, with some modifications it should work fine.
