Rotary Problem

The rotary attachment on my profile is giving me fits. The home position is about .25" off ( I'm engraving drumsticks so .25 is a big deal). I can't seem to reset home. I adjust the Y, hit 'set home' and when I press online, it snaps back to it's original position, .25 off.
I definately missing something but can't figure it out.

Is there an 'offset' setting in the printer driver? That could be doing it.

EDIT: On my rotary, there's a wedge shape on one side to fit the varying diameters of glasses etc. The offset on my machine is where the glass starts (different diameters will, of course, be on different parts of the wedge shape). It occurs to me that if your machine is consistantly off, there may well be something like an offset setting in the printer driver. Just a guess- I have a different machine.
