Wixey Electronic Digital Readout & Grizzly

Anyone successfully mounted a Wixey Electronic Digital Readout on a Grizzly planer (G1021)? Have pictures and hints?

mounted on my (?) 15" planer which was the model prior to the release of the G0453. I purchased my DRO on ebay from a chap in England before I became familiar with Wixey. That being said, I am looking at the picture of the 1021 and it looks like mounting the Wixey might be a problem on any of the new version Grizzly planers. If you are mechanically inclined, it looks like a stout angle, mounted to the bottom casting and firmly bolted might supply the surface required to mount the scale. Then you could fashion a bracket to fasten the reader to the upper casting. The danger is in that the upper end of the scale is left unsupported and if hit, however lightly, may loose calibration. Vibration may also be a problem. Best of luck.
