Since around Feb. I have completed some "Adirondack style" rustic
projects For my camp at the lake. I thought I'd post them. Let me
know what you think.

First is a night stand. I made 2. Mainly cherry with yellow birch
twig work.
Second is a entertainment center (built in) Walnut, tiger maple
doors and yellow birch logs & twigs.

rick, i'm not really into rustic furniture, but it's hard not to like the craftsmanship you have exhibited in building these pieces! pray tell, how did you do the doors on the cabinet?

Rick, that is great stuff! I'd like to know about the Birch logs.... how did you dry them? Were they fresh cut and dried, or found? How did you seal them? Also what did you finish the cherry with on the nightstand? Did you help the color along somehow?

Thanks Frank. The rails & styles were made with a standard freud
raised panel cabinet door router bit set. I then make my rustic
edged with a ROS. Thats takes a bit of time. The grills are made
of yellow birch twigs. Trans tint mission brown sanded off to
accent the figure,a light coat of transtint golden brown, blo
and 3 coats of shellac,6 coats of laquer.

sealed with dewaxed shellac,then laquer.
The Cherry on the nightstand has 2 coats of Watco cherry danish
oil. Then 3 coats of shellac & 6 coats of laquer.
