I got a used G1066Z Double Drum sander this weekend for a semi good deal. I use mobile bases on all my tools but did not want to blow the deal and spend a fortune on the base. The HTC dedicated HD base is my favorite base (when on clearence) but no luck and the price was $230 and I did not want to spend that. The base needed to be 23.75X37.25. The Grizzly recommended Shop Fox HD base was $90 and needed $40 extension bars aswell plus the $16 shipping from Grizzly.

The 1200lb rated Industrial Jet Base expands to 37" sq but that was 1/4" short. I bought it anyway and drilled a new 9/16" hole in two of the rails to make it fit the 37.25" wide side of the sander. Worked perfectly and the locally-ish Woodworkers shop (Rockler outlet -40 mile drive one way) had the base for $88 plus tax.

So to those with this sander that want a mobile base - get the Jet Industrial or make it yourself to get the cheapest solution. Worked great for me.
