and hasn't posted photos yet?
I fondled this pretty little piece of walnut today. He did a very good job!
Maybe he's just shy.........or humble......or too busy turning to take photos......................
I'll give you a hint.....JS.......Joel Sauder

Ok, here it is. My first bowl. Sort of did it in a hurry, the Beal Bowl Buff system arrived and I needed to test it out on something, everything else I had was in the rack drying. I was trying to turn a couple of cracks out, but quickly realized I might end up with a top in stead of a bowl if I did not leave them in. This form is what I ended up with.
So here it is, the offical first bowl. It's black walnut, 7 inches accross, 2.5 tall. Sorry for the poor photos, don't have a photo setup.

Joel, get yourself a photo setup because a bowl this beautiful needs to be shown off in a better photo. What beautiful wood. I wish I could have shown a bowl like this for my first one. Thanks for letting us see it.

Joel, I'm glad that Ken prodded you to post this. It's a very pretty bowl with some gorgeous graining. Be sure to date and sign it and put it up to compare with what you'll be doing a year from now.

Beautiful Joel.!!!!! A most excellent first piece.
Now..maybe you need to take a "slight" break and help ol' Ken get his shop finished so he can crank up that Mustard Machine of his. ;) :p

Dennis........Joel has offered his assistance more than once. This old Idaho redneck is just used to doing things at his pace and in his way. I may call on Joel for assistance when it comes time to uncrate the new toys.
