I have a great 18 inch bandsaw... It is a brand new Delta.... for not much more I can switch it out to an Extrema EB-24 with a 5 horse motor and a huge beefy frame. It is a 24 inch (yet still pretty compact) bandsaw with a huge table... The bandsaw I have now is great but it is a bit smaller it is a Delta 28-682... If it cost me how much... should I go for it? I just cannot see any really good information or reviews on the web of the Extrema. One more thing... the Extrema has european style guides... I have never used those.. The delta has ball bearings... I like them... Will the European ones pose a problem? What are the practical differences to your work?

Thanks...

Drew

I don't know anything about Exrtrema, but if you need the extra capacity and it won't cost you too much more, then it may be worth it.

well... costing too much more is relative... the saw will cost about double... but it lists at about triple. I love the idea of being able to re-saw logs I have saved.. I am wondering if I am gonna need a 12 or 14 inch as well if I go this big with a 1/4th inch blade or maybe Ill just have to give my scroll-saw a more prominent roll in the shop.
