What has everyone found as the best settings for IPI's Laserthins? I have a 50 watt laser and am using 18 Power, 100 Speed, 300 PPI, max DPI. It's a black that lasers out to gold. The gold just seems dull and I was thinking it would be a little more lusturious. Can't tell if I'm going too deep or not deep enough. I'm still playing with it and if I get it perfect I'll post my settings, but rather than burn through a bunch of material, if someone has already got some settings down it would be great to know.

Thanks!
Tracey

I have 45 watts and use the same speed but power of 30, usually 400 dpi.
It seems like your settings are probably right or at least close. If you go too deep it becomes translucent.

It's never going to look nice and rich like the background color though. Materials like that work best on small, thin text or designs rather than
thick large ones for that reason.

Have you tried with a lower dpi?

I use the gloss version of that material rather than matt. The gold is still flat but the gloss black makes for a good look.
