What is the best sure fire way to cut an oval shape using 1/8" acrylic? The oval must end up being 12" wide at it's widest point and 8" high at its highest point? Thanks in advance for all your help.....Danny

Danny, is your question how to draw an oval of this size, or what blade to use when cutting the acrylic? How smooth do the edges need to be?

If this is for a picture frame, you might could find one already made at a craft, art or framing store.

A real first and last name is required by the SMC Terms of Service (http://www.sawmillcreek.org/terms.php)to be a bona fide member of "The Creek". Please PM Jackie Outten (http://www.sawmillcreek.org/private.php?do=newpm&userid=6)with that information and she will update your registration information.

Thanks in advance

Todd,

No, this isn't for a picture frame. I need to cut an oval and yes, how to accurately draw on right on the paper backing of the acrylic would be fine. I then was thinking of cutting it with a jig saw. A router table could be used also I suppose. Thanks again, Danny
