Grizzly tool sale

I've been reading the great reviews about the Grizzly G0490 jointer and the G0453 planer and I'm ready to pull the trigger. I wanted to know if Grizzly usually has a sale in Nov. or Dec. I think I read that the G0490 was going on sale in Nov. for 725.00. If they do have a sale is it on select machines or across the board?

Gee, I hope so, cause I've been looking at the G1021X2 planer. If they will sweeten the pot, might just go for their X2BS and the '21'. Close to buying a 15 inch Shop Fox but keep thinking about those individual carbide cutters. Plan on being in Muncy at end of the month; hope they have this equipment there.

They usually have a sale beginning in Nov. I ordered a jonter, which is backordered, and they indicated the sale price would be honored if picked up during the sale. Hopefully the 12"er will be included.

Hope that Griz sale is on when I order my new 12" jointer, would like to go with the 16", but it is twice as much as the 12. Don't be afraid of the shelix cutters, I have one on my Oliver 10", and have not broken one of the cutters. And it works great. Jim

If that price is right the G0490 is $25 cheaper that it was on the sale that in August when I got mine. You're going to like the G0490.:D

Any edge sanders on sale in that ad?

A couple of drum sanders and a belt sander but no edge sander. Doesn't necessarily mean there won't be- iirc their previous holiday specials were more than could fit on a two page ad.

It seems to me that this sale (http://www.grizzly.com/products/G0593) is pretty good and it is going on right now. I can't imagine a better value than an 8" with spiral cutter delivered for $1069. But that's just me.

So I spoke with a Grizzly customer rep today and he said their holiday sales are all up on their website as of this past monday. Noticed a few changes

Just picked up the Grizzly Christmas Wish Book yesterday at the Bellingham showroom and the GO490 jointer is on sale for $725.Also the 453 planer is on sale for $750.
