Anyone turn avocado nut?

Quick search reveals a single turning of avocado wood (nice looking). The other day, I cut into a wet avocado nut (pit?). It is really nice looking--sort of like tagua. I am going to try to turn a few after they dry. Anyone have any experience with this?

I don't know if it will dry nicely / stay white / be workable /etc/. If no one has any thoughts on this, I'll report back when these are dry enough.

I have not done an avocado put have turned some peach pits. You cane dry the pits in the microwave on low heat.
