I was given 5 sheets of rusted tin ceilings, sheets are 2' x 2'; cost was free :D, anyone have any suggest uses and methods for cleaning

I have seen it used as a backsplash in a kitchen, directly below the upper cabinets and over the countertop. Although what I saw was not rusted. You could also use them for panels in a pie safe of your own design.

Cleaning: If you want to get the rust off and probably a fair amount of the paint, try electrolysis (http://www.google.com/search?q=electrolysis+rust+removal).
Use: If you have a 2'x10' room, you could put it on the ceiling. :D I've seen single panels (left in as-found condition) used for decoration--wall hangings usually. If you used some distressed lumber (i.e. barn wood) to make frames you could probably sell them for $100 each at a craft show.

the stuff sells like hot cakes in New Yawwk City.
At least it did a few years back.
