I bought one this week from Jack himself -- the creator is our club president. I haven't made a handle for it yet, but took a few practice swipes at a small turning yesterday with just the tool body. I like it, easy for even a beginner (some say caveman) to use.
There's some good pictures on Jack's website: http://www.jewelwood.com/The%20Eliminator.htm
You might read some of the threads here (and elsewhere) that mention it, as well as the similar Hunter tool.

I'm very impressed by the performance of the 3/8" model. The 1/4" (at least mine) seems to have a little too much vibration when extended more than a couple of inches. The cutter cuts a nice surface.

This is fairly similar to the Hunter tool, no?
I've been using the hunter (#4) for some time now and love it for end grain turning (and sometimes handy in other orientations) .If this performs in a similar manner it should be a nice addition.
