Have you checked Delta's website, they usuall have the manuals for download.

I finally tryed that but it gives an error message i followed the instructions even though it said it could cause serious errors to the computer---still did not work though (says that I am not allowed to access OWA and directly access free docs in public folder) I realize this is not a technical support site so thank any way...Maybe some one will know another place to look

If you call Delta, they will send you a copy of the manual. They have them even for the much older rockwell machines.
Good luck,
Hilel

John,
Their site seems to be down right now. I have this lathe and might have an e-copy of the manual on my other computer...I'll check for ya and post it if I can find it. If it's not allowed here and I have it, I'll send it through normal email channels.

Moderators,
Is it okay to post the Delta manual for the 1440 here?

Thanks,
Dick

Sure - as long as the file size is within limits and is in an acceptable format. It'll likely be a pdf and those are okay.

John,
I kind of dropped the ball on this one. Try this link since the file is over 1MB.

http://www.dewaltservicenet.com/documents/English/Instruction%20Manual/Delta/En903742.pdf

I'll email it to you if this link doesn't work. Let me know.

Thanks,
Dick
