Im working on an RV. Im putting in a draw an a slide out trash can where an old trash compactor used to be. On the other draws theres a slide that you have to slightly lift up on to pull it out.So when yurning they dont fly open. They have this piece of sheet metal tack welded onto slide of draw slide with a curve in it so you pull up and slide out an it glides over it.Looks custon by the RV maker.Funny had real cheap slides but dovetail draws.
Draw will have soda an beer cans in it. Trash can is 19 inches tall and could be full.
Does the blumotions stay shut more than a regualr?
Is there another type of slide for this?
I need two 16 inch side slides.
Thanks

You can always get a child safety lock the kind that has the plastic clip or even the magnetic ones. that would hold them closed.

If you're gonig to use the existing drawer, that may restrict the kinds of slides you can use. For instance, if the drawer is sized so that there is a half-inch gap on each side between it and the cabinet, you can't use that Tandem-type slide.

If you have that size of drawer, check out KV's RV slide ---

These also work if you want something that looks nice: http://www.rockler.com/product.cfm?page=1376&filter=catch

Or in a pinch, rig up a magnetic catch and mount it from the rear so it doesn't show. A little more work to mount it, but it wouldn't be in the way or visible. Jim.

Try D Lawless for full extension slides. They have a rubber bumper in the back that locks the drawer closed. You can get a pair of 16" for around $12 and they are rated at 100lbs.

I came across Accuride slides on ebay. Seems hardwareattic is having an inventory clearance sale(they are also listing blum hinges and blumotion)...I'm pretty certain that Accuride slides have a hold in mechanism. That might be what you need for your requirements.
