Nothing wrong with GBOW and they seem to have outstanding products. However, I was looking for a place that isn't in the laser engraving business too. Why would my customer's come to me when they can buy direct, if you know what I mean. Do you know if they offer wholesale prices for un-engraved balls? Steve

Steven,

Footballs come in 4 sizes in mahogany and maple
1/4 size mahogany w/stand 1-9 pc $8.25
1/3 size $11.60
1/2 size $19.05
2/3 size $41.90
full size $117.10
$50 minimum order

I have not used their product, just passing along their latest price sheet.

Well, not being a 'sports person' and if I had my choice, I would MUCH rather be beaned by a 1/4 size mahogany football than full sized one ..:D

Brian, thanks for posting the price list. Makes me wonder what an acceptable mark up would be so as not to scare of the customers. I am usually comfortable with a 50% mark up but $200+ would be out of my range for a wooden trophy. I guess it isn't bad if that is what you can afford.

Bill, My eyes and leg speed ain't what they used to be. I think I would have a better chance of seeing the full sized projectile and getting out of the way. Either way it would be like getting hit with one of the snowballs with a hunk of ice on the inside. You have people throw things at you often, I thought you were well thought of?;)

Well I'm sure they would make a fine addition to any mans proud possessions.. After all, isn't it said that Washington had wooden 'teeth'

Could check the price for letting them engrave for you then depending on how you do things you could get away with lower markup and not really have to do any work. Might still lose the order on price but would give you a better chance to get the job. depending on there engraving charges
