Hey folks,

I need to square a bunch of 21x36 solid hardwood panels. If I get the festool MFT 1080 is there enough room between the holes to clamp a 21" panel for crosscutting? I understand the panel is 28" wide but the wholes look like the are in at least 2 to 3"s in for the edge.

Thanks!

Scott

I just did a quick check on my MFT & you have about 24" of space between the rail support & fence.

As Chris said, you have plenty of space to clamp a 21" workpiece on the MFT. If you had a need to crosscut a piece wider than 24" you can mount the fence the other way on the top, and use a longer guide rail.

Oh didnt even think of that!

Guess it looks like a MFT in my future then!

Thanks for the info.
